The IPC Education Foundation provides scholarships that support skills pathways and prepare students to start a meaningful career in the electronics manufacturing and assembly industry. Through a variety of scholarships and awards we wish to encourage, develop and reward students and educators.

The IPC Education Foundation has established different types of scholarship and award opportunities, uniquely tailored to meet each of the following audience’s needs:

  1. Student Scholarships - The IPC Education Foundation aims to provide 50 X $1,000 scholarships per year  to recognize deserving students in college. These scholarships will be made available only to registered chapter members. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipients.

  2. Educator Award - The IPC Education Foundation has established the “Michael V. Carano Teacher Excellence Award” to support the professional development for secondary and post-secondary educators pursuing training related to the electronics industry. The award includes a $1,000 award prize and a one-year membership pass to IPC EDGE, IPC’s on-line learning platform. Educators need to be nominated by a student to apply.

  3. Leadership Awards - Exclusive scholarships and awards are available to IPC Student Chapter leaders after serving a 12-month term

  4. Competition/Project Awards - Please refer to the PCBeTheChange Competition for more information. Launched in 2021 in partnership with Altium's Upverter Education and Arduino, the IPC Education Foundation will participate to bring the competition to students in high school and college worldwide in 2022.
